This research aims to provide empirical evidence on whether sustainability practices can mediate the effect of Good University Governance on university performance, thereby providing a basis for policy decision-making in higher education institutions. Research Methods: This study employs a quantitative approach using SEM-PLS. The population of this study was lecturers, education staff, students, and alumni. The sample was obtained using a non-probability sampling technique, specifically accidental sampling, which resulted in 328 respondents. Data were obtained through both secondary and primary sources. Finding/Results: The results show that Good University Governance and Sustainability Practices have a significant effect on university performance, Good University Governance has a significant effect on Sustainability Practices, and Good University Governance has a significant effect on University Performance through Sustainability Practices as a mediator. Conclusion: Good University Governance affects university performance through sustainability practices as mediation. It is important to implement sustainability practices into university policies. This research is expected to be the basis for policy decision-making in higher education institutions and as a guideline for them
