Lucky Zamzami has been a professor of maritime anthropology at the Department of Anthropology, FISIP, Andalas University in Indonesia since 2005. He received a BA degree from the Department of Anthropology, FISIP, Andalas University in 2002, an MA degree from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) Malaysia in 2009, and a PhD degree from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT), Japan in 2019. I have been doing his field research in coastal fishing communities, where the matrilineal Minangkabau reside, along the Indian Ocean, focusing on local mobility, fishery management, conservation strategy, or poverty problems.
