Dr.rer.nat. Mudarisnur is an Associate Professor of Physics at Universitas Andalas. His research interests include but are not limited to Nanophotonics and Nanomaterials (modeling and experimental) for energy, sensing, optical devices, and catalytic applications. Dr.rer.nat. Muldarisnur obtained a Bachelor's in 2004 in from Universitas Negeri Padang. He received a Master of Science Degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2006 with a thesis on the simulation of an Optical Add-Drop Multiplexer under the guidance of Prof. Tjia May On and Dr. Alexander A.P. Iskandar. From 2008 to 2012, he did his doctoral research at Max Planck Institut fuer Kohlenforschung (MPI KOFO) in Muelheim an der Ruhr, Germany. He obtained a doctoral degree from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, under the guidance of Dr. Habil. Frank Marlow and Prof. Dr. Andreas Wieck. His dissertation is about the structures and optical properties of opal films. At the end of 2012, he joined the research group of Prof. Dr. Thomas Zentgraf at the University of Paderborn, Germany, with a research topic on Binary Colloidal Crystals and Metasurfaces. He moved back to doing a second postdoc at MPI KOFO (2014-2015), investigating the effect of external fields on thin opal films' formation, structures and optical properties.
